Lisa first helped me at a retail store where I noticed that she had an exceptional eye for putting things together and honestly guiding suggestions for items that would best suit me. I really appreciated that she spent time listening to my needs and then made suggestions that both perfectly hit the mark and stretched me a bit out of my comfort zone. I asked her if she would ever consider providing me ongoing style advice. The complication was that I live in Los Angeles and she is in Minnesota. Didn’t matter a bit. She is very flexible and ultimately proposed a solution where she shops online and sends me recommendations with links. Since we have been working together, I have much more fun getting dressed for work and she saves me lots of time. I highly recommend Lisa’s services to my best friends.

Sometimes I feel like I’m a fashion mess.  I know what I like when I see it but I am not always sure how something will look on my body type, how to put it together and frankly, whether or not it is even still in style. Whenever in doubt, Lisa has been the person I’ll call or text and ask for advice.  So when she told me about STYLE UPDATE, I was so happy for her because I know how style conscious and fashion forward she is and knew it was the perfect fit.  Then I got to thinking that I could probably use her help myself…

I remember when I first told Lisa I needed her help, I was nervous that I’d be embarrassed to let her see exactly what was in my closet.  I was afraid she was going to tell me we didn’t have enough to work with, that we’d have to go shopping and I’d end up spending a fortune.  She assured me I was wrong.  I was still nervous, thinking she didn’t know what she was in for…

Getting started was simple. I’m very organized so it was easy for me to point out where each type of clothing was in my closet. Before I even started finding some of my favorite pieces, Lisa had grabbed a few things and had already started putting together some outfits. It was so much fun creating new outfits from a closet of clothes that I looked at every day and thought, “I have nothing to wear.”  Her fashion tips and ideas for putting different pieces together is invaluable to me since I really don’t shop like I used to, am often in athletic gear based on my lifestyle and career and when I do, I sometimes struggle with what looks good. After working with Lisa, I have over 20 new outfits to wear and now instead of thinking “what to wear?” because I don’t have anything, I think “what to wear?” because I have so many options.

Lisa is easy to work with.  She gets excited about things that look great on you and she’s very kind and gentle with the way she tells you something doesn’t look so good or isn’t in style anymore and should be gotten rid of.  I think one of the most impressive things to me was that she took pictures of all the outfits we put together and she emailed them to me right after.  That way, I don’t have to struggle to remember all of them when I’m trying to decide what to wear later.  She also took notes of different things I could add to my wardrobe and sent a follow up email with those recommendations.

It’s not just Lisa’s passion for fashion that makes her good at what she does.  I love working with her because I trust her, I don’t have to worry that she’s going to tell me something looks good when it doesn’t.  She genuinely wants to help me look good.  If you’re looking for help with your wardrobe, I highly recommend hiring Lisa.  You won’t be disappointed!

Lisa is a very down to earth gifted woman and I know she has found her passion.  I feel so fortunate to have been one of Lisa’s clients and experience all she had to offer.  We hung up outfits in my closet with jewlery and shoes to go with it.  This is amazing because I go in my closet now and don’t even think about what to wear; if Lisa is putting it together then I know I look good!  She is creative, beautiful and compassionate.  I feel she let me be me and have a sense of style again. My husband and kids ask me often if I have been shopping or why do you look so good lately.  My response,” Lisa was here. I highly recommend Lisa and trust her completely.

Shopping is so much more fun and more productive when Lisa is with me! She not only helps me select trendy options but also makes fabulous recommendations on what looks good on my figure. I also really like that she helps me bargain shop… selecting good quality options at prices that are affordable. I shop in stores I might never set foot in. Lisa also has great energy and is so relaxed and fun which makes the experience even better.

I was in over my head with the lack of organization in my closet. I needed help! Lisa came in with her patient, calm nature and most importantly her great sense of style. She got the job done!  She took everything out of my closet and helped me decide what to keep and what to get rid of. She did this with my taste and lifestyle in mind. The time it took to get organized was not even a fraction of the time it saves me every day when I go into my closet and know right where everything is. There has been numerous times when I am getting dressed for a party and I have to call my fashion emergency 911-LISA and Lisa sends me off to my party with my outfit put together perfectly.  She has a wonderful knack for putting outfits together and finishing things off with just the right piece of jewelry or the perfect shoe.  I recently have been looking for a specific boot. I knew exactly what I wanted but I did not have the patience to maneuver around the internet or the time to drive from place to place to find them.  During my five minute conversation with Lisa, not only had she found the exact boots I was looking for, she sent me websites on what to wear them with! Whether it be organizing your closet, putting together the perfect outfit or finding what you need without the hassle of shopping I HIGHLY recommend Lisa… Lisa is fabulous!!!

Lisa helped to organize my closet. I had been avoiding tackling this project on my own for years. It was such a cleansing process. We got rid of clothes that didn’t fit, we’re out of style or that I didn’t wear any more. I was so excited to wake up the next morning and get dressed. It felt like I had a whole new wardrobe. Lisa showed me ideas for outfits I hadn’t ever thought of putting together on my own. Once completed my closet was so unbelievably organized and easy to find everything. I plan to have her help me fill in my current wardrobe with items we were able to identify that were missing from my current pieces. The experience left me energized and inspired and I cannot wait to work with her again.

I am so excited to be working with Lisa! I’ve been following her posts for months now and have gotten so much inspiration from them. She really knows how to put things together and always makes me feel confident about dressing, which is why I’m bringing her out to Boulder (where I live) for a wardrobe consultation. I work full time, travel for business often and have a baby at home. Who has time to think about what to wear, let alone go shopping?!?! So it’s very refreshing to have someone do the work for me… someone whom I trust and who has fantastic taste. I love getting dressed now and I love working with Lisa. My hubby loves her too because now he sees me in more than just sweatpants and a tee. : ) Thank you, Lisa. Now, let’s get dressed!

Lisa actually saved me money because she put together some amazing outfits with clothes I already had. I feel like I have a whole new, stylish wardrobe. Now instead of looking like a frazzled mother of three, I look like a frazzled mother of three with a great outfit on!

Can’t tell you how many complements I have been getting about my new (and reinvented) outfits … I’m a transformed woman thanks to you!

Thanks to STYLE UPDATE, I have more outfits than I know what to do with. Lisa took me out to buy some new clothes, but also styled many new outfits in my closet that I never knew existed.
